Corecon integrates with Xero

Corecon’s online construction estimating and project management platform can now efficiently exchange financial data with SME SaaS accounting solution Xero.

Xero logoCorecon logoFor many people who don’t work for smaller companies (and, after all, there are a lot of them in construction), Xero may be an unfamiliar name, but Xero is one of the more popular cloud-based accounting software tools, used by some 400,000 small and medium-sized businesses in over 180 countries. The New Zealand-based software company also has offices in Australia, the UK and the United States, and – through a data tie-up with California-based Corecon – it is now integrated with an online construction estimating and project management platform.

Corecon announced the integration this week; Corecon V7 subscribers can now efficiently transfer financial data between Corecon V7 and Xero, eliminating duplicate data entry, it says.

At the heart of this integration, is a new sync wizard that identifies and syncs all data to be updated or exported between Corecon V7 and Xero’s cloud-based systems. This includes customer, vendor and employee information, as well as project financial transactions such as invoices and statements. A preview function in the CoreconLink sync wizard identifies and displays the information that will be synced before the actual data exchange occurs, and sync logs provide a history of modified/ added records with the date and name of the person who made the change. Corecon President Norman J. Wendl says:

Norman Wendl“Corecon Technologies is dedicated to providing the most complete and efficient solution to manage construction projects,” says “The integration of Corecon V7 and Xero is Corecon’s latest offering which provides for more efficient business operations by streamlining construction and accounting functions with a seamless interchange of financial data.”

Corecon’s platform offers business development, estimating, document control, contract administration, job cost control, scheduling and collaboration functionality. In addition to Xero, it also integrates with Intuit QuickBooks, Sage 50 and SAP Business One®.
