CTSpace disappears

According to Idox group company McLaren Software, “the merger with CTSpace is now complete.” As described in November 2011, following the business’s acquisition from Sword (post), the CTSpace name was set to disappear, and now – sure enough – if you point your browser at the old domain you are redirected to McLaren’s home page, and its …

CTSpace launches FusionLIVE – end of the road for BuildOnline and Citadon

Catching up with recent announcements in the world of construction collaboration technologies, I see that Sword CTSpace has launched a new Software-as-a-Service application, FusionLive, that looks like it will eventually replace both the BuildOnline and Citadon applications inherited when Sword acquired CTSpace in December 2007 (post). I recently talked to someone who used to re-sell Citadon’s ProjectNet solution while at west London-based Rock Consulting subsidiary E-Box and he told me that there had …

New CTSpace product “soon”

The US version of CTSpace‘s website had brief details of a user group conference it was holding, 6-7 March 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event was programmed to include a preview of a new CTSpace product, an opportunity to meet Sword executives, and the results of a US user survey. I understand from CTSpace that …

CTSpace dissected

Yesterday’s announcement of a merger of BuildOnline and Citadon to form CTSpace (see earlier post) presents a positive view of the past history of the two firms, so it is worth analysing some of the background. Let’s start with BuildOnline. BuildOnline backstory BuildOnline was actually originally founded in Ireland and set out to become an e-marketplace …
